Your dream of studying in Canada starts here

We assist students and their parents in determining the ideal program to suit their needs, as well as facilitate placement into the finest schools, camps, and homestay or dormitory accommodations

StartPoint Canada Inc. is a Toronto-based educational consultancy for Japanese students aged 11-19 who wish to study English in Southern Ontario. We assist students and their parents in determining the ideal school or program to meet their individual needs; guide the family through the respective program’s rigorous application process; and help prepare the student for their study-abroad experience to come. In addition to consulting and placement before their departure, we also serve as the legal custodians for the child once they arrive in Canada, and for the duration of their entire experience abroad.

Our Custodianship service:

StartPoint Canada serves as the child’s legal custodian for the duration of the child’s stay in Canada, as required by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Compared to many custodianship services who tend to provide the bare minimum in support and guidance for their families, we are unique in offering 24-hour, 7-days-per-week Japanese-English bilingual support to both our students here in Canada and their parents in Japan. As their “parents away from home,” we visit our students at their schools and residences, take part in their parent-teacher conferences, attend their sports and arts events, and provide them with course selection and university guidance — in addition to providing regular updates to their parents back home in their native language.
